With the start of Autumn comes the start of new programming at Moon Library. Check out three FREE programs coming this month:
Alone at Home
Tuesday, October 11, 6:30 PM
This class will help you determine when it’s the right time to trust the kids to stay home alone. Instructors will cover the topics of physical and emotional readiness, appropriate behaviors, and the creation of a family safety plan for children when parents are out. Children ages 10 and up are welcome to accompany their parents to this presentation. This program requires registration.
Identity Theft
Thursday, October 13, 4:00-5:00 PM
Identity theft is the fastest growing white-collar crime in America! Join us to learn about the outlandish ways that thieves are stealing your information, methods you can use to protect yourself and your assests, and the resources available to you if you do fall victim. Registration is required.
Learn About Hodgkins Lymphoma

Hodgkins Lymphoma is a form of cancer that attacks the blood and lymphatic tissue and strikes people in their 20′s or 30′s as well as those in their late 60′s. Those diagnosed with this disease have a high chance of survival, especially if diagnosed early. This presentation given by UPMC Cancer Centers will provide of the cancer, signs and symptoms, diagnosis, and treatment. And, any cancer survivor and/or their family members will be interested in the valuable discussion of patient and family resources for dealing with Hodgkins Lymphoma and other cancers.
