Spend an Evening Under the Stars @ Your Library

Posted on: July 27, 2010

Come spend the evening under the stars with local amateur astronomer Larry McHenry on Friday, August 13 at 7:30 p.m.

Larry has been active in amateur astronomy for over 35 years. He will be giving a presentation titled “Stargazing, an introduction to the Constellations”, and will setup various astronomical displays with hands-on books and other items.

After the presentation, there will be an outdoor session, starting around 9:00 pm with several telescopes that the attendees will be able to look through and observe the planet Jupiter, along with starclusters and nebulae.

This event is free, but please register online or by calling the library at 412-269-0334.
